Where we go

Some of the places we love best.

Regions we've ridden often, with hotels, routes, and people we trust. These aren't the only places we plan trips. Just some of the ones we love best.

Inspiration for your next adventure.

We've spent years in these regions. We know which roads are quiet, which hotels live up to their photographs, and which chefs will open their kitchen for a group at dinner just for us. The list isn't exhaustive. If your dream ride is somewhere we haven't put here, tell us.

Italian Alps

The Dolomites

The four passes of the Sella Ronda in a day. Pale rock, quiet roads, villages that still feel local. Our home range, best ridden June through September.

Lombardy + Piedmont

Italian Lakes

Lago d'Iseo (our home), Como, Garda, Maggiore. The Madonna del Ghisallo above Bellagio. Climbs out of every village, espresso at the bottom.

Balearic Islands

Mallorca

Sa Calobra, Puig Major, the Tramuntana coast. Smooth tarmac and a January-to-April window that keeps Northern European cyclists riding through winter.

Bern + Vaud

Swiss Alps

Gstaad, the Diablerets, the Col du Pillon. Cool air, alpine pastures, and the kind of quiet most mountain regions lost a generation ago.

Italy

Tuscany

Strade bianche between cypress hills. A Brunello tasting in Montalcino. Rolling rather than climbing-heavy. The food carries the trip.

France + Spain

Pyrenees

Tourmalet, Aubisque, Aspin. The Tour de France classics, paced right, with a van for the gravel sections and the long descents.

Haute-Savoie

French Alps

Annecy, Albertville, Beaufort. The Aravis, the Colombière. Lake swims after the climb. Dinners that earn their reputation.

Spain + France

Basque Country

Coastal climbs into San Sebastián. Pintxos every evening. Nineteen Michelin stars in a region you can drive across in two hours.

Tirol

Austria

Quiet valley roads through the Stubaital. Gravel above Imst. The high passes of the Ötztal. Family-run hotels that feel like guesthouses.

Douro + Sintra

Portugal

The Douro Valley by bike, with port lodges and quintas pacing the days. Sintra for the heritage detour. Quieter than Spain, warmer than the Alps in shoulder season.

Canary Islands

Tenerife

A road that climbs 2,300 meters up Teide from the coast. The pros come here in February to train, and the quality of the roads and views explains why.

Western fjords

Norway

Trollstigen, the Atlantic Road, the Geirangerfjord. A July window when the air feels rinsed. For cyclists who want a trip that doesn't sound like other trips.
