Your week splits between two extraordinary properties — two nights at The Chedi Andermatt in the heart of the central Alps (Jun 24–26), then four nights lakeside at Hotel Beatus on Lake Thun (Jun 26–30). Each base unlocks a different side of the Swiss Alps.

The Chedi Andermatt is a five-star design hotel that blends Alpine tradition with Asian-inspired aesthetics. Designed by architect Jean-Michel Gathy, the hotel features warm woods, natural stone, and floor-to-ceiling windows that frame the surrounding peaks. It’s the centrepiece of Andermatt’s transformation from a sleepy military town into a world-class mountain destination.
Facilities include a 2,400 sqm spa with indoor and outdoor pools, a Japanese bathhouse, and multiple dining options from Swiss fondue to Asian fusion. Andermatt sits at the crossroads of several legendary passes — Furka, Oberalp, Gotthard, and Susten are all within easy reach, making it the perfect base for an Alpine cycling adventure.

Late June is peak early summer in the Swiss Alps — long days with nearly 16 hours of daylight, wildflower meadows in full bloom, and all the great passes freshly open for the season. Expect warm valley temperatures in the low-to-mid 20s, cooling noticeably at altitude. Afternoon thunderstorms can build quickly, so a rain gilet is essential kit for the descents.
